DUI EXPERT SERVICES

Been There
Done That
Police Officer
Prosecutor
DUI Defense Attorney
Civil Litigator
In Hamilton, Alexander exclaims, "I practiced law, I practically perfected it!" as he moves forward to the next chapter in his professional career.  For me, my calling is DUI Law and Procedure.  I practiced law and, though I do not claim to have perfected it, I established a reputation as the "DUI Guy" called upon by other attorneys for advice and assistance.  I've been the trenches of the courtroom as a prosecutor, defense attorney, and civil litigator.  I've been at the roadside as a police officer.  I have arrested, prosecuted, and defended thousands of people charged with DUI.  I know what it takes to win cases.  Now, as I move forward, I want to help you win cases.

I am a NHTSA SFST Instructor.  I have been accredited by multiple states to provide Continuing Legal Education Courses .  I teach attorneys the skills to win DUI cases.

This is not about me.  This is about my team - including myself, a legal research staff, a Legal Nurse Consultant for medical/accident cases, and our Case Manager/Legal Assistant.  Most importantly, this is about OUR Team.  When you hire us, WE, along with YOU and the CLIENT, become a team dedicated to success.  We help you succeed.

Unlike most experts who rely exclusively on their law enforcement experience, my firm offers services ranging from expert testimony to trial assistance.  Our criminal case services range from informal case evaluations to comprehensive expert reports and testimony. Our civil litigation services include assistance with interrogatories, requests for admission, and depositions.  We don't substitute our legal opinion for yours - we provide advice and assistance based upon our knowledge and experience - so that you can make the best possible decisions in your case with the least amount of worry and concern.

If you case involved controlled substances - prescription or otherwise - our Legal Nurse Consultant can help you understand and navigate medical records.  If your case involves and accident, you can result assured that her 25+ years of experience, including leadership positions in adult and pediatric trauma, can be an invaluable resource.

While we are happy to provide expert testimony, we believe our services are better - and more appropriately - utilized as Consulting Experts. In this role, we help attorneys better understand factual information - specifically SFST, ARIDE, and DRE.  We can help you prepare for cross-examination or deposition of the opposing side’s experts or law enforcement officers.  Most importantly, we can help develop a trial or litigation strategy.  One benefit of our services is that we are generally protected from discovery concerns absent a showing of exceptional circumstances. In other words, everything we do is attorney work product.  See Fed.R.Civ.P. 26(b)(4)(D) and similar state rules.

We pride ourselves on being partners to your case, not simply a tool to achieve a result.  We strongly believe that every DUI-DWI case can benefit from ther assistance of an expert.  We offer multiple service options to meet every need.   We also offer volume discounts to repeat clients, allowing you to have an on-call DUI expert.

OUR CASE REVIEW PROCESS
GENERAL INFORMATION:   Whether you have a criminal case or a civil case, we are here to help. We offer our services to prosecutors, defense attorneys, and civil litigators in the United States and Canada.  We will consider services in other countries on a case by case basis.  Once you submit your case to us, our process is as follows:

1) Preliminary Video Review:  Our first video review is conducted without the aid of a police report.  We review the traffic stop, personal contact, SFST, and post-arrest interactions to determine whether each step was conducted properly and, if not, what errors were made by the officer.

2) Written Discovery Review:  We next review the police report.  Here, we are reviewing the report to determine if it is complete and whether the basis for the detention, the driver's conduct, SFST, ARIDE Performance, etc. are sufficient to support probable cause to arrest/impairment sufficient to convict.  We also review DRE Reports, Accident Reports, and other relevant information.

3) Secondary Video Review:  Armed with information from the police report, we review the video a second time.  This time, we are reviewing the video to determine whether the police report is accurate and complete.   CONTACT US
